The Senior Finance Analyst, Supply Chain Finance - Logistics will be responsible for financial support and analysis of all aspects of logistics (Transportation & Distribution) with specific focus on providing financial guidance and decision making support to the Logistics Operations team and the Supply Chain Finance team.  This position will report directly to the Manager, Supply Chain Finance-Logistics.  Responsibilities are for both the Henkel NA Laundry/Home Care business and Beauty Care business


Provide financial support and analysis in Transportation & Distribution area for combined Henkel and Sun Laundry and Beauty business, with gross sales of ~ $4.6B, across the US and Canada.  Fiscal responsibility for ~$300M in spend over a complex network including 188M cases, 9 distribution centers, 4 3PL providers,  and multiple transportation modes.  

What we offer

  • Support the Operations team through the process of annual and strategic planning, periodic re-forecasts and other critical initiatives with clear insightful financial analysis and business advice.
  • Identify and effectively communicate actionable opportunities for profit improvement through financial analysis of actual trends and forecasted results to enhance business and financial productivity.
  • Provide financial analysis and management to support capital investment. 
  • Analyze and effectively communicate monthly financial results, opportunities and risks to the Operations team, Chief Supply Chain Officer, Finance Executives, and other Executive Leaders.
  • Participate in month end closing responsibilities.
  • Work with the Manager, Supply Chain Finance in working cross functionally to:1) facilitate clear understanding of P&L drivers for actual and forecasted results, 2) identify risks and opportunities to the business, and 3) provide timely and accurate evaluation for cost savings projects.
  • Support financial aspects of network and infrastructure studies including development of capital spend, analysis of potential savings, impact on service, and resulting economic benefits (IRR, NPV)
  • Partner with Operational teams to develop and conduct new efficiency opportunity analyses including recommendations for improvements to the business.Provide financial counsel and support to Operational and financial teams, including scenario analyses.
  • Possess a working knowledge of fuel, trucking industry and market factors that influence the financial performance of the company. 

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance or Accounting.  MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years relevant business experience required, preferably with a CPG company
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize data into actionable information.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • ERP system understanding and experience-SAP preferred
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects, and work under tight timelines
  • Exposure to capital analysis using appropriate financial techniques & indicators related to equipment investments a plus.
  • Understanding of accounting systems & data flow.
