This position is within the R&D Laundry Department at Henkel Trumbull. The role is responsible for designing, conducting and analyzing testing to support the performance of laundry products.

What we offer

  • Design and perform experiments utilizing laundry and textile industry instruments and methodologies.
  • Communicate issues, substantiation, etc. representing TKO (Technical, Knowledge and Observations).
  • Actively participate in and represent TKO at project meetings
  • Become knowledgeable in all testing methodologies and factors that impact them and take them into account when planning testing
  • Works with scientific rigor and understanding within the TKO/R&D team
  • Analyze performance data and understand the statistics and results being generated.
  • Truly understand the data generated, how it compares to pasts test and identify any changes/issues.
  • Communication to manager, project teams, etc. to keep people up to date of status of projects in oral and written formats when appropriate.
  • Learn and develop a working knowledge of claims and claim substation and factors that influence them.
  • Seek new opportunities to develop new claims for products that the person is responsible for through new tests and competitive analysis.
  • Learn and maintain an understanding of the competitive set to better perform TKO role.
  • Responsible for safe working conditions. Is aware of hazards associated with work assigned, observes safe work practices, keeps equipment neat, clean and in safe operating condition, and maintains good housekeeping standards.

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor degree in chemistry, biology, physics or related science and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Lab experience with working knowledge of product performance assessment and/or instrumentation preferred.
  • Self-motivated, creative, good oral and written communication.
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Works effectively independently and in teams
  • Creatively minded with a passion for innovation
