What we offer

I. Basic Function:                 

The AG Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overall working capital management, service and cost optimization as it relates to the distribution and delivery of materials through the AG supply chain.

II. Responsibilities:


  • To ensure that our customers and employees are fully informed about the health and safety characteristics of our products and raw materials and that all products marketed by a specific strategic business unit within the region in which this position is located are in compliance with all appropriate regulations (Federal, State, country, regional and / or local).

    Specific Responsibilities:

  • S&OP Process

    • Ensure the Monthly Supply Review process is conducted which includes Plant Level supply reviews.

  • Product Sourcing and Distribution

    • Determines where products are made to support the customer base

    • Decides the product level distribution strategy to meet customer needs

    • Optimize sourcing and distribution to minimize costs and maximize service levels

    • Master Scheduling relationship with plants to drive efficiencies and optimization of assets to drive down processing costs.

  • Working Capital Management

    • Responsibility for all raw material, packaging and finished goods inventory.

    • Sets plans with plants and inventory control to tightly manage and control inventory to achieve annual targets.

    • Drives improvements to optimize Quality of Inventory

    • Consistent review of OSMI items to minimize financial exposure to this stock category…in a reactionary and proactive manner.

    • Facilitates efforts to minimize and deal with blocked stock and scrap.

  • Service Levels

    • Total responsibility for service levels to the customers for this supply chain.

    • Facilitates service improvement projects

    • Constantly monitors service levels and works to maintain or improve service levels to reach world class levels.

  • Cost Optimization and Reduction

    • Must take an active role in identifying cost savings opportunities in the Supply Chain annually.

    • Works to Define, Measure, Analyze, Implement and Control cost savings projects.

      III. Relationships:

  • The AG Supply Chain Manager will interface with all functional groups within AG-NA business.  This individual will need to be able to influence people in all areas of the company from Customers Relations and Sales to Manufacturing and Product Development.  She/He will need to be able to build strong relationships with Manufacturing management as well as Sales and Marketing management to be highly successful in this role.. 

IV. Authority:

  • The AG Supply Chain Manager has full responsibility for this Supply Chain and needs to be able to influence all aspects of it.

  • Administration of staff performance appraisals and salary management.

  • Approval of travel requests and travel and expense claims.

V. Positions Supervised:

The role has direct reports at the MC3 and MC4 levels

VI. Job Specifications and Competencies:

  • Functional Excellence in Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing Operations. 
  • Certification in APICS and/or a Strong Supply Chain background are recommended to be successful in this role
  • Demonstrated ability to understand key business processes and interdependency with supply chain improvement plans.  Solid business acumen.
  • Able to leverage own efforts through effective involvement of individuals and resources, both inside and outside the immediate organization.
  • Must be empowered to take ownership of the Supply Chain and lead it with authority.
  • Good ability to identify and adapt best practices from inside and outside the organization.  Good external focus to stay “plugged in” to trends and developments within the industry.
  • Motivation to push projects through to solution and implementation to deliver solid business results; cognizant of time and budget constraints.  High level of energy, drive and focus.  Drives for results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication ability.
  • Demonstrates customer focus.  Monitors critical information about customer trends and needs and incorporates into operations and supply chain plans.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated leader.

Who we are looking for

    • BS in Engineering, Production, Supply Chain or other related fields preferred.  Advanced Degrees are a plus.

    • 2 - 5 years successful track record in current job preferred.

    • Work experience in adhesives manufacturing and supply chain is ideal.  Related experience in technical service, marketing, sales or product management would also be acceptable.

    • Demonstrated ability to influence diverse groups and pull them together to achieve a common goal.

    • Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion and proven Project Management Skills

    • Self-driven – must require only minimum management or monitoring

    • Ability to multi task and deal with ambiguity is necessary for this candidate to be successful.

    • Solid Computer skills necessary.  Excel, SAP, data analysis

    • Good verbal and written communication skills

    • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)

    • This position has flexible locations.

    • Ability to travel
