What we offer

  • Proficient at leading and training all mechanic positions to be proficient at troubleshooting, repairing, and extensive equipment modifications to all the equipment in the department. This includes blow molders, all external line equipment, grinder, blenders, pumps, and conveyors.
  • Proficient at leading and training all mechanic positions to be proficient at set-ups or changeovers to the equipment. This includes accurate precise alignment of tooling, installation of molds, and processing of equipment.
  • Proficient at leading and training all mechanic positions to maintain the equipment. This includes mechanical adjustments, processing adjustments, repairing the equipment, and completing mechanical repair logs.
  • Proficient at leading and training all mechanic positions to perform preventive maintenance. This includes inspecting and replacing broken or worn-out parts, oil and filter changes, minor equipment rebuilds (pumps, cylinders, valve, etc.), and completing preventive maintenance reports.
  • Proficient at leading and training all mechanic positions to troubleshoot and perform extensive repairs to hydraulic systems. Perform extensive welding and fabrication work. Some basic machining and plumbing.
  • Proficient at leading and training all mechanic positions to perform quality tests to ensure proper set-ups and/or repairs. This includes weighing, measuring, and drop testing the containers.
  • Proficient at leading and training all mechanic positions to start up and shut down air compressors, chillers, and other equipment.
  • Proficient at parts ordering and inventory.
  • Must be able to cover shift in the absence of the production or maintenance supervisors.
  • Attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Must be at the workstation at the beginning of the shift.
  • Must continuously follow all safety policies and procedures on the job.
  • For safety and business purposes, must have communication skills including reading, writing and must be able to communicate to others as well as be able to receive communication from others.

Who we are looking for

  • Must have leadership, delegating, and human relation skills.
  • Must have extensive hydraulic, welding and fabrication skills, the ability to trouble shoot mechanical equipment, quickly and accurately.
  • Must have a mechanical aptitude.
  • Useful but not necessary to have basic knowledge of one or more of the following: Plastics processing, chillers, pumps, air compressors, or welding.
  • Ability to do simple math equation. Count and keep track of numbers.
  • Ability to communicate with others.
  • Ability to train Mechanics, operators, and other employees.
  • Ability to use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and welding and fabrication tools, safely and accurately.
  • Machine operation skills.
  • Three-years maintenance experience, or at least 6 months’ experience in the position of Maintenance leadership experience.
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
