 To operate, monitor and maintain filling and packaging machines, per policy and work instructions to ensure quality production processes and ensure efficient and cost effective resource utilization.

What we offer

  • Administers machine operations, as required to accomplish production objectives. Set-up, filling and packaging equipment as required. 
  • Adjusts dials, gauges, photo eyes, torque, labelers, tape machines, date coders, weigh scales and other related equipment, as required to positively affect production operations. 
  • Assemble cartons, pour/package products at required quantities and label cartons/ containers as required for products according to shop order packaging instructions. 
  • Performs various SPC data collection and charting activity, as specified. 
  • Monitors production process to ensure compliance to operational standards. Ensure compliance with all facility SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) policies and procedures. Ensure conformance and support with facility quality management system. 
  • Maintains accurate inventories, performs production reporting, inventory transfers, tally card process and picks components when batch is complete utilizing the operating system. 
  • Maintain 5S, Visual Factory and lean manufacturing techniques, value stream mapping and be assigned to attend team meetings designed to reduce cycle time, remove waste and non-value added activities and reduce costs. 
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards including cleaning equipment and general work area, polishing, sweeping, trash removal, operate motorized floor scrubber, assure all equipment/tools/RM’s are stored in proper locations, and no aisle, fire extinguishers, emergency exits are blocked. 
  • Identifies production problems both current and potential and advises corrective actions. Ensures that Production Supervisor or Shift Leader is advised of problems or concerns. 
  • Must be trained in grounding and bonding procedures to control static electricity. 
  • May be requested to perform operator preventative maintenance on equipment. 
  • Will handle both hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with procedures. 
  • May be required to adjust work hours and/or work overtime to meet business demands.
  • This position has the potential to have environmental impact. At all times, the environmental policies and procedures of this site will be followed. 
  • Obtain input from Chemical Operator, Shift Leader, Production Team Leader, and/or Plant Supervisor for the tasks required for the day based on schedule.
  • Various other duties as assigned.

Who we are looking for

  • High school diploma/GED required. 
  • Passing of standardized cognitive company test(s). 
  • Ability to work required overtime to meet business goals. 
  • Proper training, protective equipment and instruction for safety practices will be provided. Able to perform the responsibilities and duties of the position.
