YOUR ROLE

  • Henkel Adhesives is looking for a customer-facing Technical Service representative for the nonwovens hygiene and tissue & towel industries.
  • The Technical Service group's primary mission is to work with the Sales team to clearly identify and quantify customer needs, then design, deliver and quantify product/service solutions to meet those needs.
  • The position involves significant strategic interaction with Business/Technical Management, Product Development, Operations and Quality functions.
  • Similarly, it involves interactions at multiple customer levels, from line operators to corporate technical and procurement people.
  • This position requires a significant amount of travel (~ 50%) to customer sites for product demos, troubleshooting, and business strategy support, which in turn requires formal planning and documentation.
  • Communication, organization, and project management skills are a must.

YOUR SKILLS

  •  BS/BA Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Nonwovens hygiene article or tissue & towel manufacturing equipment experience a plus
  • Experience with adhesives (formulation or usage) a plus
  • Formal Process Improvement training (e.g. Six Sigma) a plus
  • Ability to communicate and relate to people regardless of their position in the organization hierarchy external or internal
