YOUR ROLE
Production Technician Technician will provide leadership and direction to crew members to optimize line results & improve their skill levels.
Safety is a fundamental aspect of the role & part of everyone's responsibility.
Plan for & allocate resources & implement systems including changeovers, centerlines, shift changes & breaks.
Communicate with all crewmembers to ensure tasks are properly assigned, & production results are optimized.
Problem solve to ensure positive customer service results.
Must be able to operate, maintain and troubleshoot high speed packaging equipment.
Must be able to make minor mechanical fixes to ensure line optimization, assist mechanics in machine fixes, MVIL lines.
Must be able to consistently adhere to standards such as safety, quality, housekeeping and teamwork.
Must be able to identify and prepare work orders for mechanical and electrical repairs or overhauls.
Crews will participate in the management of the day-to-day operations of their area of the business including production, administrative and support functions.
Crew members are to utilize all their skills and to continue to further develop their skills so that the crew continuously improves.
Employees within the crew will work up to their capability to perform a task in a safe and quality fashion. It is understood that members of the crew are to share in all tasks, both desirable and undesirable. It is also understood that there will be no ownership of tasks.
This is a union position and the shifts are on a continuous operations schedule. A Crew -- Tuesday -- Friday 12 am -- 8 am, Saturday 8 am -- 8 pm C Crew -- Monday -- Thursday 4 pm -- 12 am, Sunday 8 am -- 8 pm D Crew -- Friday, Saturday, Sunday -- 8 pm -- 8 am, every other Thursday 8 am -- 4 pm Hours worked, including overtime will not exceed 60 hours
YOUR SKILLS
Minimum Requirements
Must have at least one year of manufacturing/production experience
Must achieve acceptable scores on Pre-Hire Assessment
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills (communications, teamwork, problem solving, decision making)
Must be able to make simple calculations.
Must be able to be trained in the use of a computer.
Must be able to be trained in Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Must be able to efficiently operate semi-automatic and automatic equipment.
Must be able to lift 40 lbs. from floor to shoulder height. Must be able to wear a respirator and other PPE as required.
Must pass pulmonary function test.
Must be able to stand and or walk 100% of the shift.
Must be able to work kneeling, standing, and squat, bend or reach throughout the shift.
Must be able to work at elevated heights.
Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
