YOUR ROLE

  • Be part of a team of highly motivated specialists in different regions that work together to further develop and communicate the Trade & Customs management program for Henkel Global Supply Chain
  • Manage projects to streamline import and export operations, with a specific focus on customs broker management and digital developments
  • Manage the relationships and compliance requirements for third party customs brokers and freight forwarders
  • Monitor customs regulations, adjust procedures and advise appropriate parties of changes 
  • Manage the relationship and performance of the customs brokers
  • Develop and maintain training programs for business partners involved in trade matters
  • Further develop relationships with Customs officials, internal stakeholders and external agencies
  • Represent Trade & Customs on strategic projects with cross-functional and cross-regional teams

YOUR SKILLS

  • Higher degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or International Trade or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant trade and customs management experience within a multinational, a customs broker or a Big4 consultancy firm / law firm
  • Excellent understanding of customs and trade regulations; experience with global FTA management as well as US export controls is a plus
  • Comprehensive understanding of supply chain operations
  • An interest for digital developments in the field of Trade & Customs, SAP GTS knowledge is a
  • plus
  • Fluent proficiency in English is a must, Dutch is a plus
  • Excellent communication and team building skills
  • Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset, experience with project management
  • Good time management, results oriented, can-do attitude
  • Proven ability to work in an international and culturally diverse environment
