What you'll do
The Automation Technician ensures plant equipment and facilities are operational and in constant production by troubleshooting and maintaining control components (e.g., PLC, VFD, Servo, Robotics, Vision, HMI, Safety Circuits). They also assist in creating and updating programs/graphics for new and existing projects, collaborating with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production personnel to ensure accurate automated functions.
- Ensure all production equipment is safely functioning at its highest efficiency by resolving downtime issues, improving performance, and reducing scrap
- Perform electrical/control based preventative maintenance tasks as assigned
- Provide leadership / facilitation in troubleshooting by utilizing automation programming software packages
- Utilize knowledge of machine controls to train operators and maintenance on basic operation and troubleshooting of equipment
- Complete controls and electrical work orders as assigned
What makes you a good fit
- Associate degree in electronics or automation controls required or 4 years comparable experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in manufacturing environment
- Carry, lift, push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Must have experience in Allen Bradley or Ladder Logic Programming
- Lean Manufacturing experience is preferred
- Ability to work 12 hour NIGHT shift, 5:45pm – 6am with rotating days, including every other weekend & some holidays
The salary for this role is $29.75 - $38.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
