YOUR ROLE

-Design and implement effective SHE programs in alignment with business objectives and maintain compliance with all Henkel, federal, state and local regulatory requirements 

-Identify risk conditions and investigate occupational accidents which could produce occupational injuries or illnesses and eliminate/reduce the occurrence of unwanted/undesired conditions and behavior

-Direct, maintain and administer all aspects of the Workers Compensation program with additional experience with environmental reporting (ie. TIER II, Sara Title 1, RCRA) Perhaps on the workers comp

-Design, develop and administer appropriate SHE training for all employees (including new hires) 

-Create and maintain accurate, up-to-date and complete records and documentation (manuals, SOPs JRAs) as related to Corporate and site SHE requirements; Must possess working knowledge of regulatory requirements (i.e. OSHA, DEP, EPA), SHE program management (Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental), risk management, behavior-based safety, training and auditing 

  • Achieve full compliance with regulatory and Henkel SHE standards by directly supporting facility staff with policies, procedures, work instructions and training; complete and submit all regulatory and Henkel required paperwork including permits and monthly KPI reporting


  • Must possess  working knowledge of regulatory requirements (i.e. OSHA), SHE program management (Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental), risk management, behavior-based safety, training and auditing 



YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Business Administration, Environmental Science or other related discipline, or 5-7 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must possess knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for leading and directing programs, including the ability to perform detailed risk assessments on all applicable machinery/equipment in the facility 
  • Must possess  working knowledge of regulatory requirements (i.e. OSHA), SHE program management (Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental), risk management, behavior-based safety, training and auditing 
  • Solid knowledge in the use and features of Microsoft Office programs (especially Access and Excel)
