Mfg. Operations/Process Engineer - Intern

  • Review and modify P&ID and equipment drawings.

  • Specifying and sizing equipment such as pumps, valves, agitators and vessels.

  • Coordinate with contractors including issuing work permits, performing safety audits, and confirming proper installation of equipment.

  • Compile, issue, and evaluate bid packages for equipment.Receive incoming equipment and insure compliance with purchase order. Specify, procure, and commission new equipment

  • Assist in startup and documentation of equipment commissioning. 

  • Conduct periodic audits of the job site (safety and compliance with job and site rules and procedures) 


  • Chemical Engineering student; 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year. 

  • Good basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Project) essential, AutoCAD skills a definite plus. Frequently sit, view a computer screen, and type on a keyboard for extended periods of times 

  • Ability to perform basic heat and mass balance calculations. More advanced Chemical engineering concepts a plus. Ability to work in a chemical lab and manufacturing environment.

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills (oral and written) 

  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs . Occasionally may be required to reach, squat, bend and lift packages up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to travel on occasion
