Intern, Product Development & Innovation

This summer internship will have a mix of two different roles, ideal for a chemistry or engineering student who has interest in both technical development and the commercialization of new products.

  • For technical development projects, the student will be engaged with our product development scientists to test adhesive formulations per a given test protocol. The individual will be required to operate laboratory test equipment and maintain good housekeeping of the work area. The selected individual will enter and maintain accurate data in electronic lab notebooks, computer databases and test reports.

  • For commercialization projects, the student will be engaged with our Global Innovation Team, exploring new product opportunities and product positioning in the marketplace. Work in other roles/activities may occur as business needs compel. A formal report out presentation covering key contributions is required at the end of the assignment.


College undergraduate student pursuing a BS in chemistry or chemical engineering, freshman through senior year.

  • Other science or engineering degree tracks will be considered if other criteria are met.

  • Proficiency with routine mathematics which includes addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

  •  Experience with basic tool manipulation including mixing equipment, lab glassware, testing machines and other standard lab tools.

  • Experience manipulating and graphing data and reporting experimental work.

  • Experience working in a team environment and working on multiple projects.

  • Open mindedness and willingness to take on projects that are loosely defined is required.
