Site Supervisor

The Site Supervisor helps direct people resources in order to ensure that the work schedule is met and that quality product is provided to meet the needs of the customer in a safe and efficient manner. Adherence to Henkel’s Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) standards and practices, and support of Henkel AC Manufacturing’s Vision are maintained as a top priority. Fair and consistent application of Henkel’s policies and procedures is of daily importance. 


  • Provide leadership and coaching to direct the activities of the off-shift teams
  • Support all contractual obligations (cost savings, washer clean-out schedule, quality, reporting, etc.) for a given site location.
  • Supervise off-shift personnel. Ensure clean-out schedules are met.
  • Liaison with client site personnel during the off-shift.
  • Assist with washer/coolant system clean-outs and metal waste stream pick-up.
  • Leads, directs, and coaches Site personnel in their career growth within Henkel.
  • Receives direction an counsel from Site Manager. 
  • Must develop and maintain strong rapport with client personnel and Henkel technicians. 
  • Ensure that all employees adhere to all company policies. 
  • Executes special projects as assigned by management. 
  • Ensures training of employees is being executed in accordance with operations and safety training matrix and schedule. 
  • Ensures that all safety policies and procedures are followed. This includes Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO), use of PPE, accident reporting, investigation, primary cause analysis, corrective action, implementation, and follow up. 
  • Propose to supervision the staffing requirements needed to meet schedule. 
  • Participates in organizing the daily manpower to achieve optimum labor performance.
  • Draws labor when required from a different functional area with prior approval of shift supervision. 
  • Modifies work assignments based on workload fluctuations within the day. 
  • Notifies management of individuals not meeting required expectations or following proper procedures. Suggests corrective action(s), assist supervisor with preparing documentation. 
  • Solves and communicates production problems in a timely manner to appropriate departments.  
  • Communicates Henkel’s culture, policies and procedures, and CI plans to production employees and temporaries in areas of responsibility. 
  • Drives the CI program to full depth of integration in areas of responsibility. 
  • Leads, inspires and empowers employees to transform the organization to Lean through constant waste elimination and pursuit of perfection. 
  • Communicates status of CI programs to management as required. 
  • Leads, encourages and demonstrates principles of 5S throughout area(s) of responsibility.


  • High school graduate or GED. Some college coursework a plus. 

  • Two+ years of supervisory experience with proven track record of team achievements in a manufacturing environment.

  • Completion of operations and safety training matrix and schedule. 

  • Able to direct and perform multiple functions within the production area. 

  • Able to support management and handle sensitive information with confidentiality. 

  • Demonstrates a professional team-player attitude toward work and co-workers. 

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis. 

  • Computer literate including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

  • Ability to work second/third shift and/or weekend shifts.
