YOUR ROLE

  • Leading the business in developing customer relationships, planning, monitoring competitor activity, deciding business direction.

  • Ensuring business growth and long-term competitive advantage.

  • Building strong customer relationships, identifying opportunities with existing and new customers.

  • Drive sales and influence others to drive sales to ensure budgets are being met.

  • Contribute to the business strategy and market alignment with the management team. Execute the strategy accordingly.

  • Maintain and develop internal relationships in Technical Chemists, production, purchasing, marketing, channel management, supply chain and finance.

YOUR SKILLS

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Sales and/ or Technical disciplines

  • Proven sales experience selling through manufacturing packaging channels

  • Experience managing a business unit, successfully impacting product cost and profitability
  • Target price development and driving implementation of price strategies with influencing and supporting commercial teams
  • Ability to set sales forecasts, sales plans and expense budgets

  • Develop strong customer relationships, supporting through excellent project and time management

  • Superior negotiation skills with the ability to support key customers and distributors

  • Experience in capacity planning, including participation on project teams for capacity expansions as necessary
  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to influence without authority
