Demand Planning Analyst

  • Supply Chain, which is part of the Operations Dept, is responsible for the local Demand Planning and Forecasting functions. The Demand Planner Analyst position includes, but is not limited to, the demand planning process (18-24 month consensus forecast) and the corporate S&OP process for the total Piidea Canada market. 
  • The primary responsibility is to create accurate demand, ensuring the optimal inventory for the right location with the goal of meeting financial plans, inventory targets and customer service goals. 
  •  The Demand Planning Analyst role reports into the Senior Supply Chain Manager, and also has a liaison to USA Supply Chain and Contract Manufacturers for direct/indirect purchases.  
  • Forecasting development, implementation and maintenance of existing and new direct materials. 
  • Planning with a focus on lower inventories while improving service levels. 
  • Generating/maintaining the forecast of select product category(s) within the Beauty Care Professional brands.


    Bachelor's degree, preferably in supply chain management 3 to 5 years experience in demand planning 
    • Deep understanding of forecasting analytics and statistical modeling methodologies.  
    • Must be able to analyze, interpret and evaluate information and arrive at meaningful conclusions and recommendations on Inventory, forecast and demand planning.  
    • Must have the ability to lead meetings with Marketing and Sales in relation to Inventory, Forecasts, and Promotion Planning. 
    • Strong leadership skills; excellent interpersonal skills that foster teamwork and a positive environment. 
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 
    • Excellent Microsoft Office (Excel) applications experience required. Experience working with integrated ERP systems (SAP APO/DP)
