YOUR ROLE

  • Henkel Adhesives Research Group is seeking a master’s degree or PhD student in the area of polymeric science and organic chemistry to conduct highly independent studies under the guidance of senior scientists to explore a variety of topics in emerging adhesive, coating and sealant areas. 

  • Candidates are expected to follow rigorous lab safety and 5S (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) protocol. Assignment will last about 10 weeks.

YOUR SKILLS

Students with experience in one or several of the following areas are encouraged to apply:

  • Polyacrylates 

  • Silicones 

  • Photoinitiators 

  • Organometallic catalysis 

  • Polymer crosslinking by heat, UV or moisture 

  • Polymer decomposition and degradation 

  • Polymer mechanical & rheological properties 

  • Thermally conductive materials 

  • Adhesive, coating and sealant formulations

  • Lab experience on polymeric or organic syntheses and organic chemistry knowledge are important requirements for this position. 

  • Projects will be assigned based on intern’s specific expertise. 

  • Out-of-the-box thinking & creative problem-solving skills are highly desirable.
