New high-speed production lines for Dial® foaming hand wash and hand sanitizer will help support increased demand for these essential items.
The Geneva, NY site supports Henkel’s Beauty Care businesses, producing products from brands including Dial®, Joico® and Zotos Professional®. With over 500 employees, the 650,000 square-foot facility operates 24/7 and includes a manufacturing site and distribution center.
As of April 2020, the Geneva facility started producing Dial® foaming hand wash and hand sanitizers, to support the fight against COVID-19. To further increase production of these essential products, Henkel recently invested in new high-speed equipment and technology at the facility. These enhancements will contribute about 45-55 percent of total production for the site.
In 2017, Henkel acquired Zotos International, Inc, to further strengthen and grow their Hair Professional business in North America. Previously part of Zotos International, the Geneva facility has manufactured a full range of hair care, texture service and hair color options for salons and hair professionals worldwide. Geneva has now expanded beyond hair care products, becoming a flagship facility for Henkel Beauty Care in the US.
Two on-site wind turbines produce up to 20 percent of the power needed to run the Geneva plant.
Did you know?
Since 2011, the site currently has utilized two wind turbines that provide up to 20 percent of total site consumption equivalency, and on a windy day, the turbines can fuel the entire plant.
