What a great day – and what an experience!
I had the opportunity to see first-hand what the partnership between Henkel and the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) is all about: teamplay, performance, family, unity, inclusion, and fun.
Together with my fellow Management Board colleague Wolfgang König, I joined a fantastic employee and family engagement event in Hartford, Connecticut, bringing together hundreds of employees and their families for a soccer doubleheader.
First, the U.S. and German Men’s Deaf National Teams faced each other, followed by the U.S. Women’s National Team – four-time World Cup winners – against Portugal. Stepping onto the field for the coin toss ahead of the Women’s match was truly special! You could feel the crowd’s energy immediately.
The day was filled with memorable moments! First of all, connecting with colleagues and their families, meeting Emma Hayes, Head Coach of the U.S. Women’s National Team, as well as players from the German Men’s Deaf National Team, JT Batson, CEO and Secretary General of USSF, and David A. Wright, USSF’s Chief Commercial Officer.
As part of our collaboration, we also launched our new campaign #WinningStartsAtHome which connects the Henkel brand with our iconic product brands across Henkel Consumer Brands and Henkel Adhesive Technologies.
A huge thank you to our Henkel North America team, to Rajat Agarwal and Philipp Schaffer and for their support, and our USSF partners for creating such a memorable day – and for reminding us of what makes soccer so special: people, shared experiences, and team spirit!
