Henkel’s Lincolnton Team Recognized for Safety, Community Service

For the fourth year running, Henkel’s Lincolnton team has earned the Gold Certificate of Safety Achievement from the North Carolina Department of Labor for working a year without an OSHA-recordable injury. Part of Henkel’s Adhesive Technologies business, Lincolnton’s safety culture starts on the front lines.

Dwarfed by neighbouring facilities in the industrial park, Lincolnton is the “little plant that could,” says Plant Manager Trent Mason.

“Our employees monitor themselves and look out for each other,” says Plant Manager Trent Mason, who leads weekly plant walk-throughs to look for ways to enhance safe operations. “If they feel anything is unsafe, issues are addressed immediately.”

In addition to its safety achievement, the plant was also recognized by Lincoln County officials for a decade of service to the community.

“Being involved with Lincoln County makes us part of a bigger collective group working to make our area better,” says Mason, who takes pride in the longevity of the site’s employees. “Everyone here commits fully – they understand that what they do here has an impact on Henkel’s business.”
