About this Position
We are looking for a passionate and results-oriented Production Manager to lead our Liquid Detergents manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while driving continuous improvement across the plant. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and EHS teams to optimize performance, enhance productivity, and deliver business objectives while fostering a culture of operational excellence and employee engagement.
What you´ll do
- Lead and manage daily liquid detergents production operations to ensure achievement of safety, quality, service, and cost targets.
- Develop and execute production plans in alignment with customer demand and business requirements.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and performance management methodologies.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, efficiency, waste reduction, quality, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Ensure compliance with all quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards applicable to manufacturing operations.
- Lead, coach, and develop production teams, promoting a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Partner with Maintenance and Engineering teams to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support capital improvement projects.
- Collaborate with Quality teams to ensure adherence to product specifications and support investigations related to non-conformities and corrective actions.
- Manage production budgets and resources to optimize operational costs while maintaining service and quality expectations.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions that enhance manufacturing performance and capacity.
- Support new product introductions, process validation activities, and technology transfer projects.
- Ensure accurate production reporting and analysis of operational data to support informed decision-making.
- Drive inventory accuracy and effective raw material utilization while minimizing production losses and waste.
- Foster a strong culture of safety, employee engagement, and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing organization.
What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience leading production operations within FMCG, home care, personal care, chemical, or liquid detergents manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, batch production, mixing, filling, packaging, and quality standards for liquid products.
- Experience managing production teams and driving a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, OEE, and other operational excellence methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize production performance, reduce waste, improve productivity, and manage manufacturing costs.
- Experience working closely with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Planning, and Supply Chain functions to achieve operational objectives.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of EHS regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and quality management systems.
- Experience leading capital projects, equipment upgrades, process improvements, and new product implementation initiatives is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using production data and KPIs to drive business decisions and operational improvements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills in English.
- Experience in SAP, MES, or other manufacturing systems is a plus
