What you´ll do
Join Henkel Consumer Brands as our Retail Media Team Lead, a highly visible leadership role responsible for shaping and driving the company's retail media strategy across all retail customers and channels. This role will serve as the organization's Retail Media subject matter expert, leading the development of strategies, capabilities, and partnerships that accelerate growth and strengthen Henkel's position in the evolving commerce media landscape.
As the leader of Henkel's US Retail Media Center of Excellence, this individual will drive strategic direction across Retail Media (inclusive of retail search), partnerships, measurement, and innovation across the full portfolio of Henkel Consumer Brands. The role will establish best practices, investment guardrails, testing frameworks, and capability-building initiatives that enable consistent execution while preparing the organization for future opportunities.
Working cross-functionally with Commercial, Brand Marketing, National Media, Analytics, Finance, agency partners, and retailers, the Retail Media Team Lead will connect business objectives with current and emerging opportunities in data, technology, and AI to drive stronger business outcomes and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation. This role is ideal for a strategic and collaborative leader who enjoys building new capabilities, influencing across teams, and translating industry trends into actionable growth opportunities for Henkel and its retail partners.
Retail Media Strategy & Leadership
- Own the enterprise Retail Media vision, strategy, and operating model across all customers, driving long-term growth, capability development, investment priorities, and organizational alignment.
Investment Strategy, Governance & Standards
- Establish Retail Media investment principles, measurement standards, governance frameworks, and decision-making processes to maximize efficiency, scalability, and business impact.
Retail Media Network & Strategic Partnership Leadership
- Lead strategic relationships with Retail Media Networks and external partners, developing joint business plans, influencing innovation roadmaps, and optimizing partner performance.
Retail Media Search & Commerce Media Leadership
- Drive Retail Search and Commerce Media strategies that improve visibility, discoverability, shopper engagement, and conversion across retailer ecosystems and omnichannel touchpoints.
Third-Party Media & Technology Partnerships
- Manage agency, technology, data, and measurement partnerships while identifying new capabilities and solutions that enhance targeting, performance, and operational effectiveness.
Data, Audience Strategy & AI Innovation
- Leverage first-party data, audience insights, advanced measurement, and AI-driven solutions to improve targeting, optimization, decision-making, and future commerce media capabilities.
Measurement, Testing & Learning
- Develop enterprise measurement frameworks, testing strategies, and performance scorecards that drive accountability, unlock insights, and improve investment decisions through continuous learning.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Capability Building
- Partner across commercial, brand, finance, analytics, and agency teams to drive integrated planning, build organizational capabilities, influence stakeholders, and develop Retail Media talent.
What makes you a good fit
- 4-year college degree + MBA Preferred
- 10+ years of experience in Retail Media, Commerce Media, eCommerce, Digital Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Media Strategy, or related fields, with demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide strategies, strategic partnerships, and capability development initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience developing and leading Retail Media strategies across multiple retailers, platforms, and media partners.
- Deep understanding of Retail Media Networks, commerce media, retail search, digital shelf optimization, audience activation, measurement methodologies, and attribution frameworks.
- Experience leading strategic retailer, agency, technology, and measurement partner relationships.
- Proven success building new capabilities, defining best practices, and influencing cross-functional teams within a matrixed organization.
- Strong knowledge of data-driven marketing, AI, automation, analytics, and emerging media technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
- Financial acumen with experience managing and optimizing significant media investments.

The salary range for this role is $150000.00 and $180000.00. This range represents the good‑faith minimum and maximum wages the Company reasonably expects to offer for this role at the time of posting. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for incentive pay or other forms of compensation, as applicable. The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package as described above. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, experience, education, training, and work location.
