About this position


What you´ll do

  • Lead new packaging development for new product launches in responsible categories and ensure it meets the quality and cost criteria by collaborating with marketing, supply chain and procurement teams.
  • Support Package Cost Saving Projects as need.
  • Provide technical support on quality issues and daily production in responsible category or brands.
  • Own package performance by balancing functionality, quality, manufacturability, sustainability and cost to deliver optimal packaging solutions.
  • Drive packaging development activities with China-based suppliers to support regional and global sourcing strategies, ensuring quality, supply security and cost competitiveness.
  • Lead technical discussions with suppliers, manufacturing sites and cross-functional teams to resolve complex packaging and process challenges.
  • Manage project timelines, development plans and resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Ensure all packaging solutions comply with Henkel standards as well as relevant safety, quality, environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Support Henkel’s sustainability and circular economy targets by identifying opportunities to improve recyclability, material efficiency and carbon footprint.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality and regional/global R&D teams to translate business and consumer needs into packaging solutions. 

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor is Must, Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 3-5years working experience on FMCG related and Package Industry business.
  • Flute on English & Japanese communication both oral and written.
  • Logical, Flexible, and Open Mind and Thinking.
  • Package Background (rigid/flexible, printing) is preferred, polymer or mechanical engineer is also ok.
  • Familar on multi-package format technology including rigid package, flexible package, and printing technology & mold related.
  • 3D Software, 2D Software such as CAD, AI software is nice to have.
  • Data analysis capability ( such as SAP, Statistical Analysis etc.).
  • Multi-tasks and time/priority management.
