What you´ll do
- The Packaging Technical Specialist will coordinate materials, testing, testing equipment, reports, maintenance, support 3D model making, and some administration work with regards to equipment capabilities to support new product launches and product/package qualifications.
- The candidate will provide day to day operational management of the Packaging Lab ensuring compliance with all Henkel corporate SHE standards policies, and procedures.
- The candidate will communicate with package engineers on testing, communicate with suppliers regarding operation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory test equipment, train and supervise all other technicians and interns in the lab, and ensure the continued function of lab capabilities in support of the Lab Manager’s responsibilities.
- Partner with Packaging Engineers to assess project testing requirements, prioritize laboratory workload, perform hands-on package testing, and coordinate testing activities among technicians, temporary staff, and interns to ensure timely project support.
- Support the ongoing development and expansion of laboratory capabilities by establishing standard work practices and test methods, evaluating new equipment, coordinating supplier demonstrations, and providing recommendations to enhance Packaging Lab performance and efficiency.
What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Science, with 4+ years of packaging laboratory experience or relevant hands-on industry experience.
- Ability to manage packaging laboratory operations and testing workflows, including prioritizing workload, coordinating multiple projects, and supporting the Lab Manager in maintaining efficient lab performance.
- Hands-on technical expertise with packaging materials, testing methodologies, and laboratory equipment, including equipment setup, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to supervise technicians, interns, and temporary staff; effectively manage multiple priorities; and communicate clearly through reports, presentations, and day-to-day collaboration.
- Adaptable, detail-oriented, and results-driven professional who demonstrates initiative, urgency, continuous learning, and proficiency with laboratory software and tools, including Microsoft Office applications and data analysis programs such as Minitab.

The salary range for this role is $75,000.00 and $85,000.00. This range represents the good‑faith minimum and maximum wages the Company reasonably expects to offer for this role at the time of posting. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for incentive pay or other forms of compensation, as applicable. The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package as described above. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, experience, education, training, and work location.
