Welcoming the future workforce to facilities across the U.S. as part of Manufacturing Day 2026 activities

Henkel Invites Students to Explore Modern Manufacturing Careers

As organizations across the country enjoyed recognizing Manufacturing Day on October 2, 2026, Henkel is proud to host students throughout the month and provide a firsthand look at the technologies, people, and processes that power modern manufacturing.

Manufacturing Day is an annual celebration supported by the Manufacturing Institute, the workforce development and education affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers ‏(NAM). Through site tours, interactive demonstrations, and employee engagement opportunities, Henkel aims to help students better understand the diverse career paths available within today’s manufacturing industry.

Local students will visit Henkel facilities in West Hazleton, PA; Geneva, NY; Richmond, MO; Salisbury, NC; Sabana Grande PR, and Delaware, OH; where they will meet manufacturing and engineering professionals, explore advanced production technologies, and learn how innovation contributes to operational excellence and sustainability.

The events reflect Henkel’s ongoing commitment to workforce development and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math education. In addition to hosting facility visits, employees from Henkel production facilities, including Bowling Green, Kentucky, will participate in a career fair and community outreach events designed to introduce students to opportunities in manufacturing, engineering, technology, and related fields.

“Manufacturing continues to evolve at a remarkable pace, creating opportunities that span far beyond the traditional perceptions of the industry,” said Rajat Agarwal, President, Henkel North America. “Today’s manufacturing environment brings together advanced technology, automation, sustainability, and skilled talent to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges. By giving students direct exposure to our operations and employees, we hope to broaden their understanding of these careers and encourage them to consider the many pathways available within modern manufacturing.”

“Manufacturing Day is about helping students see themselves as the innovators, problem-solvers and makers who will create the future,” said Carolyn Lee, President of the Manufacturing Institute. “With millions of manufacturing jobs expected to open in the coming years, it is critical that young people have opportunities to experience modern manufacturing firsthand. Companies like Henkel are helping connect the next generation with rewarding careers that offer purpose, growth and the chance to make a lasting impact.”

By engaging students directly with manufacturing professionals and innovative technologies, Henkel seeks to help build a stronger future workforce while inspiring greater interest in STEM-related disciplines and careers.
