About this Position

As a Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards across the plant. You will conduct daily inspections, monitor environmental conditions, manage hazardous waste, and support SHE documentation and training. 

What you´ll do

  • Performing daily inspections of personnel, equipment, and work areas
  • Conducting routine patrol (PPE, safe work permits, safe/unsafe actions & conditions)
  • Supervising hazardous waste handling and issuing disposal plans
  • Ensuring proper housekeeping of waste storage areas
  • Managing SHE documentation and monthly reporting
  • Supporting development of Workplace Risk Assessment (WRA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Environmental Aspect & Impact (EASI)
  • Coordinating with departments to develop Emergency Control Plans (ECP)
  • Maintaining SHE records from internal and external sources
  • Delivering SHE induction and basic fire safety training
  • Machinery Safety Inspection (e.g., generator, production equipments)
  • Promoting SHE procedures through safety talks and toolbox meetings

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or Environmental Engineering (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience with chemicals or shoes manufacturing industry
  • A general safety specialist certificate
  • Good knowledge of SMK3 PP50 in 2012, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards
  • Familiarity with PROPER and SIMPEL government portals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and drive safety culture
