About this Position

The Process Safety Manager is responsible for leading and managing process safety initiatives to ensure that industrial processes and facilities operate safely and within acceptable risk levels. This role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks associated with process operations, supporting the safe design and operation of facilities, and preventing major process safety incidents.

What you´ll do

  • Conduct process risk assessments to identify hazards and evaluate risks in industrial processes.
  • Develop and promote appropriate risk mitigation strategies and safety controls.
  • Participate in safety reviews and risk assessments for new installations, facility expansions, and process modifications.
  • Ensure process safety principles are integrated into engineering and project development stages.
  • Perform and maintain hazardous area classifications for plant facilities.
  • Collaborate in the investigation of process-related incidents and accidents, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Track and ensure implementation of risk mitigation actions resulting from safety studies and incident investigations.
  • Support the development and maintenance of process safety procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Promote a strong process safety culture across the organization.
  • Provide technical leadership on process safety topics and coordinate future activities of a Process Safety Specialist.

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in process safety, process engineering, or industrial risk management within manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environments.
  • Experience conducting process hazard analyses or risk assessments.
  • +6 year of experience in similar roles.
  • Risk assessment methodologies (e.g., HAZOP, What-If, or similar).
  • Hazardous area classification.
  • Process risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Incident investigation and root cause analysis.
