What you´ll do

  • A Facilities Technician for Henkel St. Louis will ensure the facility remains safe, sanitary, and operational. This role combines heavy-duty cleaning (sanitation) with manual support tasks, basic facilities maintenance and requires strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations. Key Responsibilities
  • Janitorial & Sanitation: Clean and disinfect restrooms, breakrooms, locker rooms, and offices. Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors using industrial equipment, such as ride-on scrubbers.
  • Production Area Cleaning: Sanitize production surfaces, wipe down machinery, and remove debris to maintain safe, non-slippery walkways.
  • Waste Management: Dispose of trash, recycling, and specialized waste (including potential chemical waste) in accordance with environmental regulations.
  • General Labor Support: Assist with moving heavy equipment, supplies, or furniture using hand trucks or forklifts.
  • Basic Grounds Upkeep- Landscaping upkeep and lawn grooming.
  • Facilities Basic Repairs- Repairing drywall, painting, moving appliances, reporting facilities defects like damaged asphalt, concrete, safety gating or fencing.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all OSHA regulations, including using proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and handling, storing, and mixing cleaning chemicals safely.
  • Maintenance Reporting: Inspect the facility and report maintenance issues (e.g., broken lights, broken equipment, leaks) to supervisors.
  • Inventory Control: Restock cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and soap in restrooms and common areas.

What makes you a good fit

  • Knowledge of chemical cleaning products, safety practices, and SDS (Safety Data Sheets).
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
  • Experience operating, or ability to learn, floor buffers, scrubbers, and other powered cleaning equipment.
  • Must have an understanding and ability to use basic hand tools and safe use of hand tools/power tools.
  • Ability to read and understand chemical labels and follow written/verbal safety instructions.
  • Previous janitorial or industrial cleaning experience is preferred.
  • Standing, walking, and climbing stairs for long periods.
  • Lifting and moving heavy materials.
  • Working in a high-production, fast-paced environment.

The hourly pay range for this role is $20.52. This range reflects the good‑faith minimum and maximum hourly rate the Company reasonably expects to offer for this position at the time of posting.  This role is classified as non‑exempt, and employees are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. In addition to the hourly wage, employees in this position may be eligible for shift differentials, premium pay, bonuses, or other forms of compensation, depending on role and location. The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package as described above. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as the candidate’s skills, experience, training, certifications, and work location.
