YOUR ROLE
- This position develops, implements, and manages safety assessment practices for Henkel’s consumer brands in North America. The individual assuming this role will execute a toxicology program to meet or exceed the industry standards and consumer expectations for product safety in North America and select global geographies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct toxicological evaluations and commission necessary testing, and document product safety evaluations for new product development projects.
- Utilize industry standard approaches and leverage currently available science to conduct toxicological human health risk assessments for raw materials, formulas, product formats, and contaminants.
- Provide scientific leadership and transparency of internal safety assurance practices to stakeholders (both internal and external) to support consumer confidence in Henkel’s products.
- Partner with Corporate Product Safety, Regulatory, Formulations, Marketing, Consumer Insights and Legal to provide product safety guidance throughout the product development process.
- Review and provide subject matter expertise related to consumer exposure complaints.
- Corroborate with management in interfacing with regulatory authorities and customers regarding product safety questions or issues.
YOUR SKILLS
- PhD in toxicology or closely related field.
- Diplomat of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT) or ambition to pursue certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of industry experience, preferably in consumer product goods. Critical Skills and Competencies:

The salary for this role is $110,000 - $135,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
