What you´ll do

  • Develop, execute, and document laboratory tests on formulations, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and reproducibility of results.
  • Generate detailed test data and comprehensive reports to support product development and optimization efforts.
  • Support the development of advanced sealant technologies tailored for the metal packaging industry within the Metals team.
  • Conduct laboratory work following established test methods, adhering to Henkel’s quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform laboratory activities safely, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), compliance with SHE policies, and maintenance of a clean and organized workspace aligned with 5S standards.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams (R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, etc.) and external partners regarding test results, methods, and project updates.
  • Prepare and manufacture developmental formulations at lab scale, including weighing, mixing, and batch preparation.
  • Test and evaluate new raw materials, assessing their technical suitability for formulation applications.
  • Maintain accountability for laboratory safety protocols, including the safe handling and lifting of raw materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Operate laboratory equipment efficiently, including safety hoods, scales, mixers, and other analytical tools.
  • Support cross-functional project teams through collaboration, sharing technical insights, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure all laboratory activities comply with Henkel’s SHE standards, policies, and procedures.

What makes you a good fit

  • Knowledge and or work experience of sealants and adhesives 
  • Experience with product validation, launch, and/or process engineering  
  • Knowledge of polymer chemistry, rubber dispersion, and rheology  
  • Skilled in laboratory testing, materials science, and mechanical property evaluation  
  • Proficient in operating lab equipment and ensuring SHEQ compliance  
  • Ability to contribute to product design and open innovation  
  • 1+ years lab experience in formulation or related fields  
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, organized, and resourceful  
  • Good written and verbal communication skills  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

The salary for this role is $65,000.00 - $70,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
